In March, Jackson State launched Ellucian CRM Recruit. Ellucian CRM Recruit is a student-centered system and a comprehensive solution that supports the entire recruiting and admissions lifecycle. It supports the student as a prospect all the way through to enrollment.
As a result of these automated processes and powerful tools for reporting and measurement, CRM Recruit allows the university to streamline and improve prospect outreach and deliver tailored digital experiences for students. It also reduces manual processes and streamlines decision-making capabilities.
Due to complex recruitment and admissions processes, it is becoming necessary to use CRM Recruit software to manage and track thousands of individual prospects annually.” says Warren Johnson, associate vice president and dean for Enrollment Management. “The best benefit of this process is that it saves time, money and manpower.”
On the student side, CRM Recruit delivers a personalized, self-driven application experience that most students expect in today’s technological environment. When prospective students create their account, this system allows themto track their application status and engage with university staff. While in the portal, they can update their profile, see events on campus, download and print their admission decision, email their recruiter/admission advisor, sign their Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) statement and confirm their attendance.

The new student application portal will apply to students enrolling for the spring 2020 semester or later. Students interested in applying to Jackson State should visit www.jsums.edu and click the “apply” button and then select the “apply for spring 2020 or after” link.
