(JACKSON, Miss.) — Jackson State University (JSU) proudly announces the establishment of the Quality Care Services Office, an initiative designed to elevate customer care and improve the campus experience for students, faculty, staff and the extended JSU community. Located on the third floor of the Student Center (Rooms 3213, 3213A, and 3213B), the new office embodies the university’s mission to foster continuity, transparency and understanding in service delivery.
The office is a direct response to the university’s commitment to addressing concerns with care and intentionality, ensuring a welcoming and nurturing environment for all. From resolving issues related to financial aid and academic advising to mediating classroom interactions, the Quality Care Services Office is here to enhance the quality of life at JSU.
“The launch of the Quality Care Services Office is a testament to our university’s dedication to excellence, not only in academics but also in how we serve and engage with our community,” said President Marcus L. Thompson, Ph.D. This office will be a vital resource, enabling us to address concerns, facilitate better communication and deliver exceptional service. I am incredibly proud to see this vision come to life, and I look forward to the positive impact it will have on all who walk through its doors.”
Director of Quality Care Services Andrea Mozee said she is honored to play a pivotal role in improving campus culture and enhancing the JSU Brand.

“This component of the president’s strategic plan will foster positive and intentional relationships for our students, faculty and staff, and community. The Quality Care Services Office strives to promote a friendly, welcoming and nurturing space where every guest will be embraced and heard as we work effectively to resolve areas of concern,” Mozee said.
Quality Care Services Officer Candilyn Tenner stressed the importance of purposeful efforts to foster an environment where students thrive.

“I hope to contribute to a culture of intentionality and effective customer service that will reshape the narrative and perspective of the JSU family and community,” said Tenner. “By addressing concerns thoughtfully and with care, we aim to foster a stronger sense of belonging and respect.”
The overall goal of the Quality Care Services office is to positively impact university enrollment, retention and overall guest satisfaction while bolstering the university’s reputation.
Quality Care Services Officer La’Curtis Powell said “By actively engaging with students, we will work together to ensure that our services are relevant and useful. My goal is to create a supportive atmosphere where students feel heard and appreciated, ultimately enhancing their overall experience on campus.”

The office has also implemented a QR code system for students to easily connect with staff, making feedback and communication more accessible.
